We focus on the development of the female football player and provide a platform for girls to reach higher levels in the sport. The Development Program of the Football Club consists of a Senior Team, two Junior Teams, U16 and U14 Girls, and a Beginners Program.
The JVW Senior Team is comprised of aspiring and talented footballers, most of whom participate/d in the JVW Girls High School League. Playing for JVW FC they have the opportunity to learn new skills and develop further in the Women’s Game.

Girls between the ages of 13 – 16 are grouped together and train at a higher intensity, whilst incorporating the JVW Style of Coaching. The Training sessions are planned and prepared timeously, ensuring that the players are always benefiting. We enter the ‘team building’ years, as players start reaching their technical and physical maturity levels, where they also need to have a better understanding of the game as well as their abilities. Players are able to progress into the First or Senior team from this age group.

U13 Girls Team
The U14 Girls Team was formed in 2016 with the vision to develop younger, talented girls into future JVW stars. Girls now have the opportunity to play in an All-Girls club, using the platform to flourish in the sport.
Coach: Claudia Raposo
We now offer a Beginners group for girls between the ages of 9 and 14. These sessions are run every Tuesday from 5:45pm – 6:45pm, and cater for players who would like to try out in the sport without any pressure to perform. Girls are able to come down, get involved and learn the basics to improve their coordination and ball control.
